Meet the Founder
Angela Ferreira — Founder & Lead Designer
15-year veteran of bathroom renovation on Long Island. Angela previously led the bath division at a major Nassau County general contractor before founding Island Bath Studio in 2012. She's an NKBA Certified Bath Designer with a specialty in zero-threshold showers and accessible remodels.
Angela started Island Bath Studio because she was tired of watching bathroom remodels fail — leaky showers eighteen months out, tile coming up at the edges, grout lines that no amount of cleaning could fix. The reason was almost always the same: shortcut waterproofing, rotating subs, and contractors who didn't understand that a bathroom is a long-term water event the tile just has to survive.
Every Island Bath bathroom is built the slow, correct way: Schluter-Certified waterproofing (she's the certified installer of record), one dedicated crew per project, NKBA-certified design, and a firm quote so no homeowner eats a surprise change order.

2012
Island Bath Studio founded
Angela Ferreira leaves a Nassau County general contractor to focus exclusively on bathrooms. Two installers, a van, and a promise: Schluter on every shower.
2015
Schluter-Certified installer
Angela earns Schluter-Systems Certified Installer credential. Still the only Long Island bathroom crew with one on staff on every job.
2017
NKBA Certified Bath Designer
Angela earns National Kitchen & Bath Association CBD designation. Design becomes a built-in part of every remodel.

EPA Lead-Safe certification
